9th-12th Grade Teams
This spring we are expecting to field a JV and Varsity team. Tryouts for team placement will take place at the stadium on March 3-6th. Everyone registered for the spring will be placed on a team. On March 7th, we will be taking ALL registered players to Fort Worden for a final tryout/team building retreat for the weekend. More info to come on Fort Worden as we get closer to the date.
HS Spring Kick-off: We will host an informational session for parents & players on Thursday, January 9th in the BHS library from 5-7pm. It is highly recommended that all HS parents attend this meeting.
Preseason Captains Practice: We will hold captain’s practices before our preseason conditioning with Myles on the Aux field from 3-4pm starting January 7th until Mid-Winter Break. We will also be continuing our weight room sessions at BHS on Mon/Wed 6:15-7:15pm starting January 6th until Mid-Winter Break.
Preseason Conditioning: I am excited to announce that we will be continuing the preseason conditioning tradition with Myles Magnuson. Workouts will take place after school starting January 9th from 4-5:15 on the Aux and will be hosted every Tues/Thurs until Mid-Winter Break. PLEASE NOTE: if you are not actively participating in a winter sport, you are expected to attend these workouts. They are instrumental in creating our team. Click here to register.
Spring Break: This year’s spring break trip is April 7-11, and we will be sending our Varsity and a few JV swing players down to Scottsdale to compete with some of the best teams in Arizona. We will take a maximum of 25 players. Our main matchup will be against powerhouse Brophy Prep who continues to be ranked as one of the top teams on the West Coast. We are still coordinating with the school district on the flights and lodging, so be on the lookout for more info.
Summer: This summer we will be attending the Summer Solstice tournament June 6-8 in Seattle, WA and the National High School Lacrosse Showcase in Maryland. PLEASE NOTE: we will be selecting individual 9-11th graders to attend NHSLS, and if selected the expectation is you attend this event. I am very excited to be going back to NHSLS this year, as it is the top recruiting event for high school programs in the country.
Scholarships are available for all our spring and summer events. Email finance@bellevuelacrosse.com for more information.
7th-8th Grade Teams
This year we are anticipating one team at the 7/8 age level. If our participation is higher than expected we will field an A (blue) and a B (gold) team based on the skill level & experience of our players.
7/8 practices will be three times a week with GELL games on Saturdays. Practices will begin early February. The exact dates and times of practices and games are still TBD.
Uniform cost has been included in the registration fee this season; all players will receive a reversible jersey, shooter shirt & shorts.
We will send one 7/8 Blue team to the Harvey Cup and Summer Solstice Tournaments locally. These two tournaments will be the first two weekends of June respectively. We will be attending one out of town tournament this season - Park City Showdown June 27-29 in Park City, Utah. The Park City trip will be chaperoned. Players who accept a Blue team roster spot are expected to attend all three of these tournaments. You will receive an invoice for a non refundable deposit covering hotel rooms, lunches, dinners, tournament and coaching fees for Park City. We will share plans for air and ground travel and chaperones once registration closes, but our intent is to be flexible, allowing families to participate in the experience. If you have a conflict that restricts your player from committing to the travel trip, you must discuss and resolve the conflict with Program Director Andy Matthews before completing this registration. Scholarships are available for both spring and summer events. Post season tournaments will be an additional cost.
5th-6th Grade Teams
This year we are anticipating one team at the 5/6 age level. If our participation is higher than expected we will field an A (blue) and a B (gold) team based on the skill level & experience of our players.
5/6 practices will be twice a week, usually Tuesdays and Thursdays with GELL games on Saturdays. Practices will begin late February. Uniform cost has been included in the registration fee this season; all players will receive a reversible jersey, shooter shirt & shorts.
We aim to send one 5/6 Wolverine team to the Harvey Cup and Summer Solstice Tournaments locally. These two tournaments will be the first two weekends of June respectively. Post season tournaments will be an additional cost.
3rd-4th Grade Teams
We expect to field two teams (Blue and Gold) split evenly based on skill level & experience. If participation is high enough we will have a 3rd (White) team as well.
3/4 practices will be twice a week, usually Tuesdays and Thursdays with GELL games on Saturdays. Practices will begin late February. Uniform cost has been included in the registration fee this season; all players will receive a reversible jersey, shooter shirt & shorts.
We aim to send two 3/4 Wolverine teams to the Harvey Cup and Summer Solstice Tournaments locally. These two tournaments will be the first two weekends of June respectively. Post season tournaments will be an additional cost.
1-2nd Grade Teams
We expect to field two teams (Blue and Gold) split evenly based on skill level & experience. Full pads will be required to play in GELL games but not required for practices.
1/2 practices will be clinic style on Sundays with GELL games on Saturdays. 1/2 practices will begin in March.
We aim to send one 1/2 Wolverine team to the Harvey Cup. Post season tournaments will be an additional cost.
Kindergarten Grade Team
Our K players will attend the Sunday clinics and practice with the 1-2 graders. Practices will begin in March.
This Spring we have decided that our Kindergarten players will not participate in the K-2 GELL games. The size & skill difference has proven to be a challenge to new players in the past, and our goal as a program is to ensure that all players in our program have a great experience.
All players will receive a reversible pinnie.
